CAGAYAN DE ORO’S SLERS HAM AND CAFÉ

One of the things I love about traveling is to taste the varieties of  local dishes and delicacies of the particular area I am visiting, particularly when I get the opportunity to sample what is considered the best in their region.
Slers Ham and Cafe sandwich and coffee creations

Without any presumptions, together with my beau, we had breakfast at the newest branch of SLERS Ham and Café at Yacapin Street in Cagayan de Oro City. Since it’s a Saturday morning, there were no other diners but us so we got the attendant’s full attention. Though I was not famished, I could not decide what to order since I wanted to try everything. Eventually, we opted for two kinds of sandwiches that are distinctly different. Beef Pastrami and Classic Jamon, a cup of Café Cappucino and another, Café Mocha.

The Beef Pastrami Sandwich was one of the best tasting pastrami I have tasted. Cured and naturally smoked lean beef lined with ground peppercorns and packed with spices that I could just keep munching until noontime.

Slers' Classic Jamon Sandwich

The Classic Jamon Sandwich has become one of my favorite sandwiches and I just can’t get it out of my system. Prepared the old-fashioned way of salt curing and smoking, SLERS Jamon is one kind of ham that I can eat everyday and still enjoy them during special occasions.

Another good thing about SLERS Ham and Café, they offer two kinds of sizes for their sandwiches, whole and half, which caters to any budget.

The Arabica coffee of Café Cappucino, which I consumed, was the perfect blend of cup to wake me up on an early weekend. A little frothy with just the right sweetness.

You can also check out their shelves for their SLERS Pica-Pica, snack choices from Pork Crackling (Chicharon), Banana Chips, Peanuts, etc. They also have several display coolers where you can buy your choice of ham products which you can savor at the comfort of your own homes.

  1. The sandwiches in the pictures look yummy! Wow, glad that you have discovered the place because in my two months stay here, I did not notice SLERS Ham and Café. There's a lot of restaurants around in the city and we only go to where we used to be. Anyway, you give me the idea of trying a new one. Love to visit this place soon. Thanks.
