EAT TO YOUR HEART'S CONTENT ADORES AMICI

To say that I love pasta and pizza is a shame. I truly adore pasta dishes and hot-from-the-oven pizza. I would often say, give me pasta or pizza any day and I am one happy soul.

When it comes to a good pasta, simple is always best. Whether it's just tossed in garlic, tuna, some spices and olive oil or poured with white or tomato sauce, then added with choiced ingredients. The simpler the better.

Linguine Al Proscuitto E Tartufo

Amici is one of the few that delivers simple but great tasting pasta dishes. Linguine al Proscuitto e Tartufo appears to be a plain pasta concoction (though a definite Italian-sounding name) is made exquisite with the addition of choiced shiitake mushrooms and a drizzle of the famed truffle oil. And don't forget a generous sprinkling of parmesan cheese. The addition of truffle oil makes this dish truly memorable, the rich flavor lingers in your mouth and your brain dictates that you have been truly satisfied yet you want more, ironic but not even for a glutton.

Tutta Carne

As for their pizza offerings, just when it was being introduced, I ordered their Tutta Carne made with Italian sausages, ham and pepperoni. Their thin crust freshly hand-tossed dough gives a golden brown hue and is still pleasing when it turns cold.

AMICI was included in my feature 11 MUST-DINE RESTAURANTS IN THE METRO published by Republic of 7107 Island Travel Magazine Issue 6 Volume 2 at the Island Food & Cuisine Section.
