LIFE IS SWEET YEAR 2 : GONG CHA ICE CREAM MILK TEA

It's undeniable that Milk Tea's popularity has been a phenomenal beverage craze. Milk Tea establishments have been mushrooming all-over the metro. What the heck, even coffee-based shops started offering milk tea in their menu.

But when you think of Milk Tea, there are a few that stands out from the rest, one of which is popularly known as Gong Cha. Tagged as Tea Fit For Royalty, this is probably one of the reasons why milk tea lovers clamor in line, who wouldn't want to be drinking something that's meant for royalties or Gong Cha must taste really good.

Launched in 2006, this Taiwan beverage spread globally with about 170 stores including China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia. The Philippines embraced Gong Cha's Milk Tea with its first branch in May of 2011 at SM Mall of Asia.

Gong Cha's Ice Cream Milk Tea at Php110/large

Honestly, I am still learning the art of appreciating tea drinking, more so milk tea drinking. So for starters, I opted for Gong Cha's Ice Cream Special. It is still made with milk tea, but with a generous scoop of ice cream. Now we're talking! Gong Cha's beverages come in two sizes, medium and large. Gong Cha's Ice Cream Milk Tea Special is offered in three variants, Ice Cream Tea, Ice Cream Milk Tea and Ice Cream Chocolate. I sampled their Ice Cream Milk Tea (large at Php110). Gong Cha Ice Cream Milk Tea has a pleasing fragrant and made smoother, richer in flavor with the addition of the vanilla-flavored ice cream.

I'm pretty sure Milk Tea lovers have tried Gong Cha, what's your favorite? Join me here at Eat To Your Heart's Content as I bring you Life is Sweet Year 2!
